Pourquoi notre basilic meurt si vite ?
Les supermarchés vendent des potées de fines herbes à prix très alléchant. Et qui ne veut pas des herbes aromatiques fraîches pour sa cuisine ? Force est de constater, cependant, que ces plantes vivent rarement très longtemps…
Il faut d’abord comprendre que les fines herbes vendues en supermarché ont été produites en vue d’une durée de 1 à 2 semaines. Elles sont produites dans de grandes serres de culture où la plante est boostée en nutriments pour grandir plus vite. Une fois en magasin, elles sont donc fortement affectées par le changement d’environnement.
Un autre problème majeur est que le personnel du magasin ne s’en occupe pas adéquatement, comptant sur une vente rapide plutôt qu’un entretien à long terme, et les plantes commencent rapidement à se décliner. De plus, l’éclairage (voir le manque d'éclairage) les abîme énormément car il n’est pas du tout approprié. Voici donc quelques conseils pour vous aider à entretenir vos herbes aromatiques !
Bon nombre de plantes aromatiques se cultivent de la même manière que la plupart des légumes du potager, c’est-à-dire dans un sol riche et toujours un peu humide. Ce sont l’aneth, la ciboulette, le basilic, le cerfeuil, la coriandre, l’estragon, la menthe, le persil.
On retrouve aussi les aromatiques vivaces, de petits arbustes qui poussent lentement et qui vont rester en place pendant de nombreuses années. Il ne faut donc pas les mettre en plein milieu du potager mais plutôt leur réserver les bordures. Cela concerne, l’estragon, la menthe, le thym, le romarin, le laurier-sauce, la sauge, l’origan, la marjolaine.
Toutes les autres herbes sont annuelles, c’est-à-dire qu’il faut les resemer (ou racheter des plants) chaque année.
En ce qui concerne l’arrosage, mieux vaut qu’il soit long et abondant (une fois par semaine) que petit et aux arrosages superficiels répétés.
Enfin, couper souvent les petites pousses permettra à la plante de conserver plus d’énergie pour les tiges principales. N’hésitez donc pas à l’élaguer de temps en temps, vous verrez qu’elle vous remerciera en créant de nouveaux rameaux beaucoup plus rapidement.

It can be due to trauma for the urinary tract or by infections originating from other areas with the body. A patient may feel testicular pain, small of the back pains and urination problems. Although it is uncommon, it can be treated by removal from the prostate defect followed by the use antibiotics and NSAIDs to take care of the inflammation.
Non-bacterial prostatitis accounts for approximately 90% of all prostatitis cases; however, researchers have not even to ascertain the causes of these conditions. Some researchers feel that chronic non-bacterial prostatitis occur because of unknown infectious agents while other believe that intensive exercise and heavy lifting could cause these infections.
Maintaining a Healthy Prostate
To prevent prostate diseases, an effective diet is important. These are some from the actions to maintain your prostate healthy.
1. Drink sufficient water. Proper hydration is necessary for our health and wellbeing and will also also keep the urinary track clean.
2. Some studies suggest that several ejaculations each week will prevent cancer of prostate.
3. Eat red meat without excess. It has been shown that consuming over four meals of beef every week will raise the probability of prostate diseases and cancer.
4. Maintain a proper diet with cereals, vegetable and fruits to make sure sufficient intake of nutrients required for prostate health.
The most crucial measure to consider to be sure a proper prostate is always to opt for regular prostate health screening. If you are forty years of age and above, you should select prostate examination at least one time annually.
